New Variable Tooth Pattern for Valve-Less Vent and Vacuum Blocks

Midland Technologies, Inc. is pleased to announce availability of the new Variable Tooth Pattern for Valve-Less Vent and Vacuum Blocks. The unique features of the new Variable Tooth Pattern help to facilitate release of solidified metal from the block, while still offering sufficient resistance to prevent blow-through. The teeth on the input end of the pattern present a radius which transitions through an increasing profile until achieving the same geometry as Midland's Standard Valve-Less Vent and Vacuum Blocks. The draft on the sides of the teeth has also been increased.

Midland Technologies is pleased to announce availability of its new Variable Design for its Valve-Less Vacuum or Vent Blocks. The unique features of the new Variable Tooth Pattern (patent-pending) help to facilitate release of solidified metal from the block while still offering sufficient resistance to prevent blow-through. The teeth on the input end of Valve-Less Variable Blocks present a radius which transitions through an increasing profile, until achieving the same geometry of Midland’s Standard Blocks on the teeth at the output end of the pattern. The draft on the sides of the teeth has been increased.

Valve-Less Variable Blocks are available in a variety of materials which include through-hardened H-13 for long production runs of aluminum, pre-hardened H-13 for zinc, magnesium, or low-run aluminum casting applications, and beryllium-free copper for applications requiring greater thermal transfer. Any of Midland’s seven Standard Valves-Less Vacuum or Vent Blocks can be ordered with the Variable Design by specifying -Variable after the part number. Standard Valve-Less Blocks and Valve-Less Variable Blocks are interchangeable with no need to modify the mold. Technical assistance is available to choose the correct size for needed evacuation area. Midland can also provide a block runner layout recommendation. Solid model files of Valve-Less Blocks are available at www.midlandtechnologies.com. Normal 0 false false false EN-US KO X-NONE
